Nick Dierman

Nick has over 16 years of transactional real estate experience, with 13 consecutive years of focus on retail leasing, representing both landlords and tenants.  His most recent and notable experience is as senior in-house counsel for one of the largest global developers (where Nick specialized in anchor and specialty leasing in addition to legal work related to the company's operational functions) and with one of the nation's oldest Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT) (where Nick served as chief divisional counsel for the company's West Coast portfolio of properties).  Nick’s experience gives him a keen eye to recent developments in retail leasing, landlords' and tenants' sensitivities in today's market, and most importantly, to unique resolutions of lease issues, all of which have enabled him to obtain fair leases that are negotiated and signed efficiently.

A frequent speaker at ICSC's annual law conference, Nick is passionate about the retail industry and believes that the leasing process should be collaborative, and not adversarial -- and negotiates accordingly.
